Advanced auto-switching Media Connectivity Panel for Hotel Room TVs
The MediaJack Series connectivity panel from Bittel allows guests to connect a wide variety of personal electronic devices easily to the hotel guest-room television.
MediaJack allows hotel guest to enjoy their pictures, videos, video games, and music through the existing AV audio and video systems present in the hotel room, via the easy-access and intelligent connector interface. Additional options for Internet Access, universal mains power and USB power are also available.
The intelligent MediaJack system auto-switches between inputs offering true plug ‘n’ plug functionality for easy guest use, as well as manual selection and visual indicators demonstrating which input is active.
MediaJack may be installed in a wall cavity or integrated into furniture or panelling for a discreet and powerful addition to the hotel room entertainment system. MediaJack models with single HDMI cable connectivity to the TV embraces the latest format for converged audio/video and High Definition media.
Inputs and Features:
When the MediaJack’s serial interface is connected to the television, the input source of the television will automatically switch to the relevant active input in use on the MediaJack. The MediaJack Plug ‘n’ play function is compatible with the majority of hospitality TVs such as those from Philips, Samsung, Sharp and LG.
Laptop Monitor Extender
By using the VGA and PC audio interface, the MediaJack can connect to most portable computers allowing the guest to use the TV as their computer monitor and speakers, allowing them to work on a larger screen and enjoy their own personal media.
Connectivity for Games Consoles, DVDs and Video Recorders
The composite RCA and S-Video interfaces accommodate the majority of Games Consoles, portable DVD players and personal video recorders – allowing these media sources to be displayed through the TV.
220V AC Power
International travellers frequently have incorrect plugs for local power sources or no suitable adaptor. The power socket option on the MediaJack provides two universal power sockets which accept a variety of different plug formats from around the world.
5V USB Charging
The 5V USB charging port enables guests to charge most portable devices such as mobile phones, MP3 players and cameras.
HDMI – High Definition Media
The HDMI interface offers the latest highest quality video transmission to the TV. Now a common option on portable laptops and high-end video recorders, the guest can take advantage of the high definition (720p / 1080p) televisions which may be installed by the hotel.
Plexiglass Panel and Screen-printing
The front face of the MediaJack is built from hi-grade plexiglass materials to ensure a high quality finish and an easy to clean surface. The surface can be screen-printed to emboss a logo or other details permanently.
LED Input Indicators
Just so there’s no doubt which input is currently active, each port has an LED which illuminates when connectivity is established.
RJ45 Ethernet for High Speed Broadband
An optional module for the MediaJack, an RJ45 Ethernet port enabled the guest to connect to your local LAN for wired Internet access as speeds up to 100mbps.
LCD Clock
An optional module for the MediaJack, the LCD clock can be a good addition to the unit if located in a clearly visible location.
